We’re Pregnant with Baby #2!

Hello everyone, after a little hiatus, I am so happy to be back! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that we shared some exciting news on Christmas. We are expecting baby number 2 in May of 2022! Yes, two under 2 – oh boy, are we in for a wild ride! Kurt and I are beyond thankful and cannot wait to see Winter become a big sister. We always dreamed of having two kids, maybe even three (if I can convince myself again!). Since announcing my pregnancy, I have rounded up some of your most popular questions below.

Now, let’s get started:

Q: When is your due date?

May 15th, 2022. I’m 24 weeks, and the baby is the size of a pomegranate.

Q: Do you know the gender?

We are having a boy! Before finding out, I did not have a preference. Boy or girl, I am so grateful to have this opportunity again and just want a healthy baby.

Q: Was this pregnancy planned?:

Yes, but I hadn’t expected to conceive so soon! I would have wanted to wait a little longer between pregnancies, but let’s face it, I’m no spring chicken anymore!

Q: How long had you been trying before getting pregnant?

Kurt and I got a positive pregnancy test in our second month of trying.

Q: Are you nervous about having a toddler and a newborn?:

YESSSSS!! I feel so anxious about having two under two. Share your advice below! I need all the tips and tricks I can get.

Q: Were you tracking your cycle? If so, how?

With both pregnancies, I used the Ovia Fertility & Cycle Tracker app. It tracks your cycle and predicts your fertile window. I used a basal thermometer to take my basal body temperature (BBT) and peed on ovulation strips every morning. By doing this, I could determine the exact day I was ovulating every month!

Q: Did you have morning sickness?:

Unfortunately yes. I was throwing up every day, allllll day for three months. It was really hard for me to keep anything down and lost weight. I tried to eat small, frequent meals and snacked on sour patch kids, which sometimes helped. Thankfully, my morning sickness has subsided in my second trimester. With Winter, I was sick for nine months!

Q: What other symptoms are you having?

During my first trimester, I experienced extreme exhaustion and terrible hormonal acne.

Q: How is this pregnancy different from your first pregnancy?

My belly popped so much sooner, and I put on weight faster.

Q: What prenatal vitamins are you taking?

With both pregnancies, I have been taking Ritual Prenatal Vitamins

Thanks as always for your love and support! I’m so excited to share our wonderful news with you finally. Let me know if you have any more questions!
