First Trimester Must-Haves

Congratulations! Whether you are a first-time mom or you’ve been down this road before, every pregnancy is different, and there are a few essentials that many women depend on during their first trimester. So I’ve created a list of my must-haves that helped me get through it. Be sure to check out a recap of my first trimester.

I recommend talking to your doctor if you are unsure about using any of these pregnancy-safe products.

ONE \\ The Ordinary Niacinamide

If you suffer from hormonal acne during your first trimester as I did, this pregnancy-safe formula helped to reduce my blemishes and congestion.

TWO \\ The Ordinary Lactic Acid

This high-strength lactic acid also helped to clear up and exfoliate my skin.

THREE \\ Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Facial Toner

After I washed my face, I used this toner to remove any excess makeup that I may have missed. It left my skin feeling clean, toned, and refreshed. It also helps to tighten pores, control acne, oil production, reduces redness, and inflammation.

FOUR \\ Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion

Zap zits in a flash with this acne spot treatment. In the first couple of months of my pregnancy, I experienced those annoying under-the-surface bumps, also known as blind pimples. This lotion helped to bring down the size and eliminate them a lot sooner.

FIVE \\ YETI Rambler Tumbler

Staying hydrated while pregnant is super important. As a general rule, you should be drinking between eight and ten 8-ounce glasses of water a day. These tumblers kept my water cold until the last sip.

SIX \\ Pregnancy Belly Band

With this seamless belly band, you can wear your pre-pregnancy pants a lot longer. It held up my unbuttoned jeans and was not noticeable under my tops.

SEVEN \\ Body Merry Stretch Marks & Scars Defense Cream

This body butter helps to reduce and prevent the appearance of scars & stretch marks. It’s cruelty-free, made with all-natural ingredients, and smells heavenly.

EIGHT \\ Sour Patch Kids

Sour Patch Kids were my saving grace when it came to getting me through morning sickness. As soon as I felt nausea coming on, I ate a couple of these, and they soothed my stomach.

NINE \\ Ritual Prenatal Vitamins

I love these prenatal’s because they are vegan certified, non-GMO, and contain no colorants or synthetic fillers. They also offer a subscription-based service, so you never have to worry about running out of your prenatal vitamins.

TEN \\ Reliefband Classic Anti-Nausea Wristband

This wristband was recommended to me by my doctor. I love that I could throw it in my purse and use it as a backup when I didn’t have any snacks on hand. It worked well at relieving my nausea without the drowsy side effects of anti-nausea pills.

ELEVEN \\ Pink Stork Morning Sickness Sweets

These organic ginger mango candies helped to curb my morning sickness, and they tasted great!

TWELVE \\ Warner’s Women’s Cloud 9 Wire-Free Contour Bra

When my boobs went up a size and were hurting me, the last thing I wanted was to feel wire sticking into my sides, so I opted for a wire-free option. This bra offers support for my growing ta-ta’s, but it’s also super comfortable and lightweight.
