Today I am sharing a room reveal that I’ve waited weeks, months, and years for… Winter’s nursery! Decorating it was such a labor of love, and it is easily my favorite room in our home right now. It feels like yesterday when I sat in this room thinking and wondering when our princess would be here. Since we are planning on moving soon, I didn’t want to spend too much time decorating. But overall, I love how her nursery turned out. It is such a calm, beautiful space that I love spending time in.
When I began designing this nursery, I knew I wanted neutral colors and a romantic, feminine vibe. I loved how Restoration Hardware decorated their nurseries, so I used them as my inspiration.
The most important piece in the room was the crib, and when I found this one, I fell in love. It has a beautiful french country look to it with the wood crown molding, floral leaf square rosettes, and tapered pedestal feet. I paired it with a macrame crib skirt from Serena and Lily, which added a bit of texture.
Some of my favorite pieces in the nursery are the pressed botanicals from Restoration Hardware hung above her crib. Her handmade bohemian mobile from Etsy was a sweet gift from my mom, and I LOVE it. The pom-pom trim and tassels are so cute!
Next was the Ikea dresser which I turned into a Pottery Barn dupe for a fraction of the price. You can read about how I transformed it here. Once those pieces were in, I was able to decide on a chair color and bedding. I knew I wanted a tufted armchair, and this one from Target is perfect. It’s comfortable for late-night feedings but also gives a sophisticated style to the space. I added a white crochet pouf and chunky knit throw. I love sitting there in the morning with a cup of coffee.
The wicker storage basket and hamper are from Pottery Barn, and I added tassels from Hobby Lobby. I found this olive tree on Amazon, and I love how it gives height to the other side of the crib. The last pieces that I added were the silver mirrored plaques from Z Gallerie that look gorgeous above her dresser.
It was a dream come true putting this space together for Winter Sofia. From the moment we found out we were having a girl, I knew I wanted a feminine and functional room, and this nursery is just that!
You all have been so supportive throughout this new motherhood journey, and I so appreciate you! If you have any questions, feel free to ask below! Thanks for stopping by, xx
